Novosibirsk in the 2022/23 New Year season can rightfully be called a fairy-tale city! We decorated many locations with unusual art objects and lighted installations. The New Year’s tree with dynamic lighting especially attracted the residents’ attention: it was made using a new technology we had introduced in Murmansk last year, which allows displaying any photo or video content on LED overheads, trees, and other items. The New Year tree in Novosibirsk shimmered in various colors and became the central object of photo and video shoots.
Another massive installation that impressed the residents was the lighted ceiling — one of the longest in Eastern Russia. It stretched from Krasny Prospekt to Sovetskaya Street, with a total length of more than 240 meters. Over 54,000 LED bulbs were used for the bright glow. The golden entrance structure, decorated with red spheres, was specially designed for Novosibirsk: the square columns refer to the architecture of the nearby theater.
Additionally, various art objects were placed across the city: a large lighted fountain, huge 11-meter long sleds, a 6-meter dynamic installation called “Northern Lights,” various arches and photo spots.
